The Mayor and City Council met in special session on March, 26, 2002
at 6:00 p.m. in Room 305 of the City/County Government Building for the
sole purpose of reorganization of the City Council. Council President Stacey
called the meeting to order.
Mr. Scott moved to reorganize the City Council. Mr. Webster seconded and the vote was unanimous (Ms. Siggers not present). Mayor Tilghman presided as President Pro Tem and read the rules to be followed for the reorganization of the City Council.
Mr. Stacey nominated Mr. Webster for President of the City Council. Mr. Scott seconded the motion. No other nominations were received. Messrs. Scott, Stacey and Webster voted in favor of Mr. Webster for President of the City Council. Ms. Siggers abstained.
Council President Webster called for nominations for the election of Vice President of the City Council. Mr. Stacey nominated Joe Scott as Vice President and Mr. Webster seconded. No other nominations were received. Messrs. Scott, Stacey and Webster voted in favor. Ms. Siggers abstained.
With no further discussion, the Special Meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
