RESOLUTION NO. 1329

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY, MARYLAND, APPROVING A TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE CITY’S CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDING OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES AND CODE COMPLIANCE

WHEREAS, the City of Salisbury has created two new departments from the existing Building, Housing and Zoning Department, effective January 1, 2006, and

WHEREAS, additional appropriation will be required to supplement the available funds for startup personnel and vehicles for the Department of Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salisbury City Council approves the transferring $69,487 to the new Department of Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance from the City’s Contingency Fund as follows:

Increase Account # 25200-501002 Salaries- Non- Clerical $44,698

Increase Account # 25200-502010 FICA - $ 3,400

Increase Account # 25200-502020 Health Insurance $ 4,500

Increase Account # 25200-502030 Life Insurance $ 24

Increase Account # 25200-502040 Retirement –Employees $ 3,231

Increase Account # 25200-502070 Workers Comp Ins. $ 1,911

Increase Account # 25200-546011 Computer $ 3,125

Increase Account # 25200-554404 Copiers $ 898

Increase Account # 25200-555401 Telephone $ 500

Increase Account # 25200-556204 Gasoline $ 500

Increase Account # 25200-558600 New Lease Payments $ 6,700

The above Resolution was introduced and read and passed at the regular meeting of the council of the City of Salisbury held on this 28^th day of November, 2005.
