As amended on February 13, 2006

RESOLUTION No. 1361

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY, MARYLAND APPROVING GEOMETRIC CHANGES TO THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH TOWER DRIVE AND WEST COLLEGE AVENUE TO IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY.

WHEREAS, West College Avenue and South Tower Drive are City of Salisbury public streets; and

WHEREAS, a serious safety concern is created at the West College Avenue and South Tower Drive intersection due to the large volume of vehicular traffic on West College Avenue and the close proximity of the West College Avenue intersection with South Salisbury Boulevard, which creates a large amount of turning movements in and out a high traffic area; and

WHEREAS limiting the turning moments at the intersection of West College Avenue and South Tower Drive significantly reduces the risk of this very hazardous situation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Salisbury, Maryland does hereby authorize traffic geometric changes to the West College Avenue and South Tower Drive intersection consisting of changing South Tower Drive’s northern approach to the intersection to a right-in and right-out and South Tower Drive’s southern approach to modifying the intersection for a right-out only.

THE ABOVE RESOLUTION was introduced and duly passed at a meeting of the Council of the City of Salisbury, Maryland held on ________________, 2006 and is to become effective immediately upon adoption.
