The City Council convened in a Special Meeting on June 22, 2000 at 3:35 p.m. in Room 302 of the City/County Government Building for the sole purpose of awarding the bid for employee life insurance coverage.
Director of Procurement & Parking Carol Turner provided a brief overview of the companies submitting bids. Mrs. Turner recommended Allianz through the Robert W. Nock Insurance Agency. The bid was $.22 per $1,000 of coverage which included term life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment and imminent death benefit. The rate is guaranteed for two years.
After a brief discussion, Mr. Scott moved to approve the life insurance bid with Robert W. Nock Insurance Agency (Allianz). Mrs. Polk seconded and the vote was unanimous.
With no further business, the Special Meeting adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
