The Mayor and City Council and the Wicomico County Council convened in a special session at 9:30 a.m. in Council Chambers. Council President Stacey and County Council President Molnar called their respective Councils to order.
Mayor Tilghman provided a brief report on the events that had transpired since the two Councils last met with the water and sewer consultant. Mrs. Polk moved and Mr. Webster seconded to bring Resolution No. 781 on the floor for discussion, extending the City's water and sewer systems beyond the City limits to the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium and Wor-Wic Community College.
Mrs. Polk and Messrs. Webster and Stacey extended their appreciation to all the parties involved, particularly Delegates Bozman and Conway, in bringing this issue to fruition. Resolution No. 781 passed unanimously.
Mr. Ennis moved and Mrs. Taylor-White seconded to approve County Resolution No. 530. Mrs. Prettyman, Mrs. Taylor-White, Mr. Ennis and Mr. Molnar thanked everyone for their efforts in this endeavor. Resolution No. 530 passed unanimously.
Wor-Wic Community College President Hoy, voiced his appreciation to both Councils for their support in reaching an agreement.
With no further discussion, both Councils adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
