3. Analysis of Activity and Accomplishments
A. The Criminal Division arrested one adult male and one adult female and charged them each with counterfeit trademark/$1000+ (2cts); counterfeit trademark under $1000; recording;sell, etc.; theft:less $500 value for an incident that occurred March 29, 2004-April 2, 2004 at Murray’s Steaks, 622 S. Salisbury Boulevard.
The Criminal Division arrested one adult female and charged her with uttering false documents, theft less $500 value (2cts), forgery priv documents for an incident that occurred December 23, 2003 on the 1800 block of N. Salisbury Bv.
The Criminal Division arrested three juvenile females and charged them each with 2nd degree assault; conspiracy assault; disorderly conduct and trespassing for an incident that occurred June 3, 2004 on the 600 block of Dover Street.
The Criminal Division arrested one juvenile female and charged her with attempted malicious destruction of property; trespassing; disturbing the peace and C.I.N.S. for an incident that occurred May 9, 2004 on the 400 block of Dover Street.
The Criminal Division arrested one adult male and charged him with 1st & 2nd degree assault; reckless endangerment; handgun on person; robbery; armed robbery; hgv use/fel-viol crime; kidnaping; theft less $500 for an incident that occurred June 8, 2004 on the 700 block of College Lane.
The Criminal Division arrested one adult male and charged him with 1st & 4th degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and theft less $500 for an incident that occurred June 5, 2004 on the 100 block of Naylor Street.
The Criminal Division arrested one adult male and charged him with attempted 1st degree murder, attempted 2nd degree murder, 1st & 2nd degree assault, deadly weapon w/ intent to injure and reckless endangerment for an incident that occurred on May 14, 2003 at 1014 Fairground Drive.
The Criminal Division arrested one adult female and charged her with four counts of CDS prescription obtained by fraud for an incident that occurred on May 17, 2004 on the 500 block of Riverside Drive.
The Criminal Division arrested one adult male and charged him with 2nd degree assault and 4th degree sex offense for an incident that occurred on May 6, 2004 at Waterside Apartments.
B. The Police Department assisted with traffic and/or crowd control while covering special events during the quarter.

Current Concerns Voiced By The Community:
• Isabella Street - complaints about increased traffic in neighborhood.
Potential Problems That Have A Bearing On The Law Enforcement Activities Within The Community:
• The most recent problem bearing on the Salisbury Police Department is the increase of counterfeit U.S. currency being disseminated throughout the community.
Recommended Actions That Address Previously Identified Concerns And Problems:
• The Salisbury Police Department increased patrols and traffic assignments in the Isabella Street and Newton Street neighborhood areas.
Progress Made toward Addressing Previously Identified Concerns And Problems:
• During this quarter, Salisbury Community Oriented Policing Officers conducted an undercover operation targeting street level dealers that resulted in over twenty (20) arrests with more arrests pending.
The Crime Prevention/Community Affairs Unit was again active this quarter in the following areas:
• The Telephone Reassurance Program continues to be an asset for nineteen (19) of Salisbury’s senior citizens. Volunteers call these registered seniors who are alone and/or in poor health. The seniors look forward to their daily call by volunteers are dedicated to letting these people know that we care about their well-being and safety.
• The Community Interactive Network (CIIN) has ninety-seven(97) participants. The Website has approximately one hundred (100) individuals making contact with web pages daily. These crime prevention methodologies reach the community by making the citizens aware of crime information when and where it is occurring.
• The Auxiliary Officers volunteered one-hundred (100) hours this quarter. They assisted this agency with vehicular and foot patrols in the shopping area parking lots and high crime areas. The Auxiliary Officers also assisted with the Telephone Reassurance by calling the registered seniors.

D. Community Oriented Policing Unit
April - June 2004
The Salisbury Police Department Conducted an undercover CDS operation in the Weed & Seed areas. Undercover officers made hand to hand purchased of CDS from street level dealers. During the time period over thirty purchased of CDS were made. Indictments for distribution of CDS were obtained on nineteen individuals. Once the indictments were obtained, a buy-bust operation was set up, in an attempt to purchase additional CDS and serve the indictments. Eight purchases of CDS were made, and two indictments were served. During the month of June the remaining indictments were served.
The Salisbury Police Department conducted an undercover prostitution sting in the Weed & Seed areas. The operation targeted street-level priostitution. Five females and five males were arrested for prostitution.
