City Of Salisbury Curbside Trash Procedures

Proper disposal of trash and recycling material is a critical component to maintaining Salisbury's excellent quality of life, and being good to our environment.

To receive trash pick-up services you must purchase the services from the City of Salisbury. The City Collection Service includes once a week household trash pick up, once a week recycling pick up, and once a week bulk item pick up (non-vegetative). The service is paid for quarterly in your water bill. To order collection service, call the Service Center at (410- 548-3177).

It is also required that each household purchase at least one approved trash receptacle. More receptacles may be purchased if needed. Once a receptacle is purchased, it is yours and therefore, there is no need to purchase a new one each year. Please contact the Service Center (410-548-3177) for the purchase of a trash receptacle.

Bulk pickup is a special Monday service and is available by calling the Service Center (410-548-3177) before 6:00 a.m. on Monday to schedule for the items to be taken away and pricing. Bulk items may not be placed for collection until Sunday night after 6:00 p.m. and may not block the sidewalk. Items must be on the curb by 6:00 a.m. on Monday.

Yard Debris: For the collection of any yard debris, contact the Service Center (410-548-3177) to schedule a pick up.

Trash and recycling are collected once a week. The city is divided into 4 areas for collection, based on Rt. 13 business (north/south line) and Rt. 50 (east/west line).
