Mayor Ireton's Message:
There are three core goals that guide the work in my office: Neighborhood Integrity, Crime Reduction and improving the health of the Wicomico River.
As we work to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods through my Safe Streets Neighborhood Legislative Initiative I remain committed to providing our residents the highest possible customer service. Salisbury’s Safe Streets Coalition is working hard with its many partners and progress is evident with our dropping crime rates.
The Wicomico River has seen improvement in the watershed that leads to the north and east prongs, into the river, and ultimately into the Chesapeake Bay. Our many Wicomico River Project partners are working hard everyday to improve water quality and to be a part of the ongoing efforts in Maryland to revitalize the Chesapeake.
We have much going on in our city that I know you would love to be a part of. I welcome you to live, work, and play in Salisbury today!
