ORDINANCE NO. 1911
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2001 PARKING AUTHORITY BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR THE PURCHASE OF PARKING LOT #13 (BELL PLAZA) FROM CAVALIER RESOURCES.
WHEREAS, the City of Salisbury has been leasing Parking Lot #13 (Bell Plaza) from Mr. Jerry Isear (Cavalier Resources) since 1973; and
WHEREAS, the City has provided City and County employees parking in Parking Lot #13; and
WHEREAS, upon the death of Mr. Isear, Mrs. Isear offered to sell the parcel to the City ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the purchase of this property on Monday, June 21, 2004 for $130,000.00, which with settlement fees totals $132,692.40;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY, MARYLAND that the City’s Fiscal Year 2005 Parking Authority budget be, and is hereby, amended as follows:
1) Add to the Fiscal Year 2005 Parking Authority Unbudgeted Surplus Account (31154-469800) the sum of $132,692.40;
2) Add to the Fiscal Year 2005 Parking Authority Land Account (31154-577010) the sum of $132,692.40.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall take effect from and after the date of its final passage.
THIS ORDINANCE was introduced and read at a meeting of the Council of the City of Salisbury held on the ___ day of ________, 2004, and thereafter, a statement of the substance of the Ordinance having been published as required by law, was finally passed by the Council on the ____ day of ________, 2004.
