Ordinance No. 1935

 

 

            AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY, MARYLAND AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2005 EMS FUND BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS NEEDED TO PURCHASE TWO TRIPLE-COMBINATION PUMPER TRUCKS BEING PURCHASED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT THROUGH REDESIGNATION OF BOND PROCEEDS.

 

            WHEREAS, the City Council in the FY 05 budget approved the purchase of two triple-combination pumper trucks; and,

 

            WHEREAS, the EMS Fund has an unrestricted fund balance of $ 1,315,691; and,

 

            WHEREAS, the City requires additional funding to supplement funds from other sources to purchase these pumpers;

 

            NOW, THEREFORE IT BE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Salisbury that the City’s Fiscal Year 2005 EMS Fund Budget be, and is hereby amended as follows:

 

1.)    Add to the Fiscal Year 2005 Revenue Account # 60500-469810 (Current Surplus Available) the sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00).

 

2.)    Add to the Fiscal Year 2005 EMS Fund Expense Account # 91090-599109 (Transfer to Capital Projects Fund) the sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00).

 

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that this ordinance shall take effect from and

after the date of its final passage.

 

            THIS ORDINANCE was introduced and read at a meeting of the Council of the City of Salisbury, Maryland held on the ____ day of April 2005, and thereafter, a statement of the substance of the ordinance having been published as required by law, was finally passed by the Council on the ____ day of April 2005.
