AN ORDINANCE
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
WHEREAS,
City Council believes that the public would be better served by the separation
of duties now contained in the Building, Housing and Zoning Department, and;
WHEREAS,
those duties relating to licenses, permits and inspections will be relocated to
a new Department of Building, Permitting and Inspections, effective
WHEREAS,
those duties relating to property upkeep and neighborhood services will be
located in the new Department of Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance,
effective
1)
Building, Housing and Zoning Department
(various accounts) is decreased by the amount of $393,157,
2)
Building
Permitting and Inspections Department (various accounts) is increased by
199,487, and
3)
Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance
Department (various accounts) is increased by $193,670
BE IT FURTHER
ORDAINED that this ordinance shall take effect from and after the date of its
final passage.
THIS ORDINANCE
was introduced and read at a meeting of the Council of the City of Salisbury
held on the ____________day of ___________________, 2005, and thereafter, a
statement of the substance of the Ordinance having been published as required
by law, was finally passed by the Council on the ______day of
____________________, 2005.
